Turquoise Tail Grass

This enormous, brown grass grows up to 38 feet (11.6 meters) tall. The very narrow and elongated stalks grow in extensive patches that are prone to bending and snapping under stress and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, turquoise tail.

During the late summer, it produces an average amount of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of small grains.
