Silvergrass
Grass type: Annual (Stores water in its stem)This modest-sized, silver grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The thin stalks grow in thin clumps that are sturdy and flexible.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, slate tail.
During the late summer, it produces an average amount of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of small grains.
It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
The sap is edible and overwhelmingly sour.
