Bronze Fruit Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 18 feet (5.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 35 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 48 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, angular trunk covered in paper-thin, knobbly, brown bark, and inside, the hard wood is pale brown.

The tangled mess of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with sparse amounts of small, fan-like leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are beige on the sides and bronze at the center.

In early spring, it produces many small, bronze blossoms with finger-like petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have an overpowering scent that smells like freshly washed clothes.

In early autumn it produces small, oval fruit. The leathery caramel skin is peel-able and inedible, and the slightly crunchy beige flesh is sour and very dry. The white seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It can flourish even in standing water.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
