Burgundy Puffgrass

This average-sized, burgundy grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The circular stalks grow in extensive patches that are light and frail and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, lilac puff.

During the mid-summer, it produces an average amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a few tiny grains.
