Mystic Spire
Shrub type: Coniferous (Stores water in its stem)This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 172 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.
It has many flexible, crooked stems covered in thick, ridged, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is white with black speckles.
The branches are long, thin and wispy with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of giant, slender, pointed, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are found in gentle red and grey varieties, hardy and smooth.
In mid-spring it produces dozens of small, magenta flowers with 6 heart-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have a weak scent that smells like lavender.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
