Copper Creeper

This modest-sized creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 28 feet (8.5 meters) and growing as high as 12 feet (3.7 meters). It prefers to grow on man-made objects.

It takes 2 years for the copper stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are smooth and waxy.

The long, tapering, fuzzy leaves reach up to 9 inches (23 cm) in length. They are red and peach, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces dozens of tiny yellow flowers.
