Indigo Firebloom

This small flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its emerald stem is very thick, and the small, silver leaves are dark gray on the underside and are finger-like with irregular edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Several giant flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 20 cm (7.9 inches) wide, with indigo petals and a black central disk. The flower head is made up of 47 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight sphere. They are hardy.

It has a weak scent that smells like new books, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
