Climbing plantIndigo

This average-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 34 feet (10.4 meters) and growing as high as 359 feet (109.4 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 19 months for the yellow stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 3 inches (8 cm) and are flat and wavy.

The wispy, fuzzy leaves reach up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) in length. They are either black or red, with indigo splotches, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the vine produces dozens of giant aquamarine flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces lots of large seed pods.
