Orange Clinger

This massive flower grows up to 12.3 feet (3.8 meters) tall. Its gray-green stem is thin and straight, and the huge, orange leaves are long, tapering with tattered edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.

A single tiny flower sits at the end of each stem. The flowers are 76 cm (29.9 inches) wide, with drab red petals that gradient shift to brilliant orange on the outer edge. The central disk is brilliant orange. The flower head is largely flat with several widely spaced narrow petals. They are sturdy.

It has a delicate scent that smells like warm milk, and it has an average amount of pollen; it can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is also visited by one species of insect in particular.
