Orange Moss

This orange moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In bogs.
It is large, growing up to 8 inches (20 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is extremely resilient.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
