Orange Blaze
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This small cactus grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The narrow stem is moss green, and is covered in brittle drab orange spines.
It is very fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with bright orange petals and a yellow center, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a bowl with 44 tightly layered, narrow petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like bonfire smoke.
The cactus's skin is tough, the orange flesh is leathery, and the crimson sap is thin and causes upset stomachs if consumed.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
