Coral Succulent

This short caudiciform grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. The fan-like stem is pink or black, and is dotted with small bronze spines. The round, blood red trunk can grow to as much as 12 feet (3.7 meters) in diameter. Its brown branches are tall, rigid and upright.

The jagged-edged, asymmetrical leaves are solid silver with beige edges. They are delicate, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with each petal a slightly different shade of vibrant orange grows at the top, reappearing once every 8 years. The flower head is made up of 10 petals in raised layers. It has an intensely strong scent that smells like a newborn baby.

The caudiciform's skin is thick, the pink flesh is rough, and the aquamarine sap is thin.
