Black Moss

This dark brown and black moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In marshes, and In rainforests.
It is big, growing up to 8 inches (20 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is very strong.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release millions of spores.
