Crimsonvine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This average-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 50 years. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has dozens of slender, straight stems covered in very thick, silky, gray bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of tiny, slender, pointed, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are olive with crimson tips, rigid and crispy.

In mid-spring it produces many giant, bright orange flowers with finger-like petals. They are sturdy and have a strong scent that smells like pine needles.


It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
The trunk and branches are covered in large spikes.
