Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 13 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous sturdy, straight stems covered in fine, knobbly, light gray bark, and the wood inside is burgundy-brown.

The branches trail down to the ground with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of giant, circular, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are generally dark brown, frail and leathery.

In early summer it produces handfuls of small, azure flowers with stiff, pointed petals. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like pineapple.
