Turquoisevine

This small bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 15 feet (4.6 meters) and growing as high as 254 feet (77.4 meters).

It takes 10 months for the turquoise stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are thick and twisted.

The very thick, clammy leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are aquamarine on the edges and magenta at the center, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces clusters of small peach flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces lots of tiny seed pods.
