Clinging Willow

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 113 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous long and flexible, curved stems covered in delicate, wrinkled, gray bark, and the wood inside is white.

The branches are short stubs that and are covered with very large amounts of large, broad, flat, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are solid light brown with dull blue lines, hardy and smooth.

In mid-summer it produces handfuls of medium-sized, florescent orange flowers with crescent-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have a mildly strong scent that smells like cheap aftershave.
