Indigo
Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 49 feet (14.9 meters) tall. The thick stem is gray-green, and is covered in many rigid indigo spines. It has a angular, slender, green trunk atop a narrow web of ridged, exposed roots. The branches are slender and moss green and trail down across the ground.
The jagged-edged, asymmetrical leaves are red and lilac. They are resistant, but easily come away when pulled.
It is quick growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are dull green on the edges and beige at the center grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 9 petals in raised layers. It has a delicate scent that smells like fresh linen.
The caudiciform's skin is thin, the brilliant blue flesh is leathery, and the magenta sap is thin.
It is suitable for making paper
It actively smothers and kills off other plants.
