Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its stem)This massive tree grows up to 125 meters (410.1 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 137 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a flexible, straight trunk covered in paper-thin, rough, black bark, and inside, the very dense wood is black.
The excessive amount of branches are tall, rigid and upright, covered with large amounts of large, silver needles. The needles themselves are resistant.
In late summer it produces small, white, winged seeds that float and land far away.
The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
It commonly grows in large patches.
Ivy often grows along the trunk.
