Orangeleaf Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This small tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 247 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, straight trunk covered in thick, cracked, light brown bark, and inside, the hard wood is dark brown.

The branches are very short and thick and are covered with thick bunches of rough, tiny, perforated leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are solid orange or light purple, with brown zig-zags.

In early spring, it produces several small, azure blossoms with sickle shaped petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like warm milk.

In late summer it forms small, pink berries.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

Several parts of the fruit tree have medicinal properties.
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
