Copperucculent

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This short cactus grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. It splits at the base to form 3 very narrow, elongated stems. Each stem is hazel or pastel red, and is covered in copious amounts of flexible copper spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 2 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with solid red petals decorated with dark grey lines and a muted green central disk grow at the top, reappearing after 3 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of many petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight tube. It has an overpowering scent that smells like new carpet.

The cactus's skin is extremely thick, the olive flesh is waxy, and the peach sap is thin.

It coexists peacefully with other plants.
