Silverleaf

This large shrub grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 136 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of very thick, straight stems covered in thin, cracked, silver bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches are very short and thin with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of small, sickle shaped, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are blood red and gold, light and soft.

In early summer it produces several tiny, dark brown flowers with stiff, pointed petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a strong scent that smells like vanilla.
