Orange Moss

This orange moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In rainforests, and In moorlands.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is very light.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release thousands of spores.
