Coppervine

This short flower grows up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. Its emerald stem is thin, and the small, copper leaves are brown on the underside and are asymmetrical with toothed edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

3 to 8 giant flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 12 cm (4.7 inches) wide, with petals that are lime in the center, indigo in the middle and pale green at the edges. The flower head is largely flat with dozens of raised round-tipped petals. They fall easily.

It has a weak scent that smells like fermented fruit, and it has an average amount of pollen; it can cause allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is also visited by a small species of bird.
