Blueleaf Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This small tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 645 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, wavy trunk covered in knobbly, light brown bark, and inside, the soft wood is gray.

The branches trail down across the ground and are covered with thick bunches of fuzzy, small, sickle shaped leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are sky blue at the bottom and bright red with azure splotches at the top.

In late summer it forms large, hazel, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
The bark is frequently covered in moss.
