Burgundy Creeper

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This modest-sized creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 48 feet (14.6 meters) and growing as high as 42 feet (12.8 meters).

It takes 4 years for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 3 inches (8 cm) and are smooth and fuzzy.

The sickle shaped, leathery leaves reach up to 8 inches (20 cm) in length. They are green at the bottom and brown with aquamarine streaks at the top, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces a thick sheet of average pink flowers.

It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.

The entire plant is edible and the grains areoverwhelmingly savoury.
