Bluevine

This giant vine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 1,005 feet (306.3 meters) and growing as high as 814 feet (248.1 meters).

It takes 16 years for the lime green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 3.8 feet (1.1 meters) and are smooth and rubbery.

The long, narrow, sticky leaves reach up to 3.1 feet (94 cm) in length. They are generally blue, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces several tiny blood red flowers.
