Emerald Tear Moss

This yellow-green moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In rainy mountain ranges, In heathlands, and On trees.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is overwhelmingly light; it burns easily in strong sunlight.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release dozens of spores.
