Golden Moor Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In moorlands.
It is huge, growing up to 1.3 feet (38 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they are exceptionally hardy, and is overwhelmingly delicate; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores.
