Blue Rose Succulent

This short leaf succulent grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. The pleated stem is orange-yellow, and is covered in handfuls of flexible black spines. The wavy-edged, shield-shaped leaves are found in blue and orange varieties. Large amounts of them grow from the base like rose petals. The leaves are flimsy, and take little effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 20 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with turquoise petals and a yellow center grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 18 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight trumpet. It has an intensely strong scent that smells like roses.

The leaf succulent's skin is tough, the purple flesh is leathery, and the caramel sap is thin.
