Orangevine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 32 feet (9.8 meters) and growing as high as 13 feet (4.0 meters). It prefers to grow on man-made objects.

It takes 14 months for the orange stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are rough and gnarled.

The perforated, fuzzy leaves reach up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) in length. They are solid olive with pink lines, and have toothed edges.

During late spring, the vine produces thousands of small turquoise flowers.

It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
