Violetvine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small bine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 15 feet (4.6 meters) and growing as high as 678 feet (206.7 meters).

It takes 4 months for the moss green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and remain soft and fleshy.

The needle-like, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are found in subtle orange, violet and pink varieties, and have toothed edges.

During late spring, the bine produces lots of average vibrant yellow flowers, and during the late autumn, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of large fruits.
