Aquamarine Spikeactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This big cactus grows up to 97 feet (29.6 meters) tall. It splits partway up the body to form 4 wispy stems. Each stem is moss green, and is covered in thousands of rigid slate spines.

It is very slow growing, taking 13 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with solid aquamarine petals and a beige central disk grow at the top, reappearing once every 6 years. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight sphere. It has a delicate scent that smells like marzipan.

The cactus's skin is thick, the purple flesh is rough, and the crimson sap is thin.
