Silverberry

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 18 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of narrow, wonky stems covered in delicate, smooth, dark gray bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches are long and thin that and are covered with small amounts of tiny, spear shaped, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are found in olive, cyan and olive varieties, resistant and crispy.

In late summer it produces thousands of giant, beige blossoms with 9 crescent-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have an overpowering scent that smells like fruity.

In late autumn oval fruits ripen. The soft bronze skin is thin and inedible, and the soft gold flesh is sweet and sour and oily. The bronze seed is tiny and is in the centre of the fruit.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
The stems are covered in large spikes.
