Copperflower
Flower type: Annual (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This small flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its yellow-green stem is thin and straight, and the huge, copper leaves are dark emerald on the underside and are broad, flat with rounded edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.
Many small flowers grow in bunches along the stem. The flowers are 17 cm (6.7 inches) wide, with black petals and a brilliant green central disk. The flower head is shaped like a cube with 47 raised, narrow petals. They detach easily.
It has a weak scent that smells like vomit, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
It is suitable for making paper
The pollen is slightly toxic to people but not to certain animals.
