Magenta
Flower type: Annual (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This large flower grows up to 5.3 feet (1.6 meters) tall. Its green stem is thick, and the large, gray or magenta leaves are fan-like with ripped edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.
4 to 7 tiny flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 13 cm (5.1 inches) wide, with beige petals that gradient shift to peach on the outer edge. The central disk is olive. The flower head is made up of 49 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight bowl. They are sturdy.
It has a delicate scent that smells like fresh linen, and it has a modest amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
