Gray Moss

This gray moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps On trees, In damp forests, and In rainforests.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is very rigid.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release hundred of spores.
