Copperberry
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This short fruit tree grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 33 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a narrow, twisting trunk covered in thin, cracked, dark brown bark, and inside, the dense wood is copper-coloured.
The branches are very long and thick and are covered with thick bunches of miniature, slender, pointed leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are blue and green.
In early spring, it produces dozens of giant, bronze blossoms with wide petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are hardy and have an overpowering scent that smells like a woman.
In early winter it produces , circular fruit. The leathery cream skin is delicate and very sour, and the crunchy azure flesh is sour and oily. The bronze seeds are small and are dotted around on the skin of the fruit.
The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
