Skyleaf

This small tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 659 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in thick, smooth, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the very light wood is pale brown.

The small handful of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with small bunches of leathery, large, asymmetrical leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are generally sky blue.

In late summer it forms small, black, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
