Sunset Creeper
Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This modest-sized creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 41 feet (12.5 meters) and growing as high as 14 feet (4.3 meters).
It takes 19 months for the orange-yellow stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 3 inches (8 cm) and are smooth and rubbery.
The wide, waxy leaves reach up to 8 inches (20 cm) in length. They are lime at the bottom and peach with blood red zig-zags at the top, and have wavy edges.
During late spring, the creeper produces large amounts of colossal gold flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces a few tiny fruits.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for making strong rope
