Grayvine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 44 feet (13.4 meters) and growing as high as 936 feet (285.3 meters).

It takes 19 months for the gray stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and remain soft and fleshy.

The stiff, pointed, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 9 inches (23 cm) in length. They are found in light brown and green varieties, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the vine produces copious amounts of small dull red flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces lots of small fruits.
