Silverstem

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 185 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many sturdy, straight stems covered in thick, smooth, silver bark, and the wood inside is pale yellow.

The branches are short and thin with thousands of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of huge, long, narrow, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are cyan and turquoise, delicate and waxy.

It produces a handful of medium-sized, cyan flowers with 4 crescent-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like skunk spray. In early winter it forms giantblack, shelled seeds.
