Golden Tear Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In rainforests, In bogs, and In moorlands.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is very resilient.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release millions of spores.
