Copper Cactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This average-sized cactus grows up to 23 feet (7.0 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stem is olive or hazel, and is covered in dozens of rigid dark grey spines. The cuboid body is copper, and is covered in handfuls of flexible blood red spines.

It is quick growing, taking 6 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with petals that are faded blue on the edges and crimson at the center, grow at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 9 petals in raised layers. It has a weak scent that smells like a newborn baby.

The cactus's skin is thick, the green flesh is rough, and the peach sap is thin and causes vomiting if consumed.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
