Crimson Spire

This average-sized cactus grows up to 28 feet (8.5 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is pink-red, and is covered in lots of fine, vivid red, hair-like spines. The mushroom-shaped body is yellow, and is covered in brittle bronze spines.

It is very fast growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are purple on the underside and dark brown on the top, grow at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cup. It has a weak scent that smells like rotten eggs.

The cactus's skin is very thick, the drab orange flesh is slimy, and the peach sap is thin.
