Indigo vine
Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This colossal vine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,495 feet (760.5 meters) and growing as high as 866 feet (264.0 meters).
It takes 26 years for the dark brown and green stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 1.4 feet (43 cm) and are smooth and waxy.
The thick, waxy leaves reach up to 10 inches (25 cm) in length. They are found in florescent yellow, bronze and indigo varieties, and have rounded edges.
During late spring, the vine produces thousands of small gold flowers.
