White Firebloom
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 66 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has numerous slender, straight stems covered in thin, rough, dark brown bark, and the wood inside is pale brown.
The branches trail down across the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of small, thick, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are hazel and light grey, hardy and leathery.
In mid-spring it produces balls of giant, white flowers with asymmetrical petals. They fall easily and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like burning wood.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
