Limeleaf Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This short leaf succulent grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The asymmetrical stem is green, and is covered in many flexible lime spines. The stumpy leaves are solid lime with blood red streaks. Thick bunches of them grow on very thick, lime green branches that trail down towards the ground. The leaves are sturdy, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is steady-growing, taking 16 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with beige petals and a yellow center grows at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is largely flat with handfuls of widely spaced round-tipped petals. It has a weak scent that smells like new carpet.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the peach flesh is soft, and the pink sap is thin.

Offering it in a bouquet is supposed to bring good luck.
It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
