Tree type: Coniferous (Grows and flowers repeatedly for more than two years)This enormous tree grows up to 134 meters (439.7 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 81 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a very thick, wonky trunk covered in very thick, ridged, silver bark, and inside, the hard wood is dark brown.
The small handful of branches trail down towards the ground, with dozens of twigs covered with handfuls of tiny, gray needles. The needles themselves are rigid.
In late summer it produces medium-sized, red, shelled seeds.
The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
