Silvervine

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 29 feet (8.8 meters) and growing as high as 542 feet (165.2 meters).

It takes 2 years for the copper stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are hard and brittle.

The wispy, leathery leaves reach up to 1.3 feet (38 cm) in length. They are silver at the bottom and lime with florescent green zig-zags at the top, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces many clusters of small cyan flowers.
